20430010 - Physical Methods for Cultural Heritage

The course aims to consolidate and expand knowledge on investigation methodologies to operate in the field of protection, conservation, restoration, and enhancement of cultural heritage. The course is not solely focused on the study of analytical investigation methods, but also on the selection of the best analytical procedure for the characterization of materials of historical and artistic interest (pre and post-restoration), for studying their state of conservation and degradation processes, and for potential authentication.
