Abstract:
We consider positive, semi-stable solutions of −Delta u = f(u) on domains of the model spaces of constant curvature. We provide geometric conditions on the domains guaranteeing the uniqueness and the non-degeneracy of the critical point. In particular, we see that less than convexity is required in the spherical setting, and more is required in the hyperbolic setting. We also discuss the sharpness of the conditions.
