Abstract:
In 1957, Huang and Yang predicted an asymptotic formula for the ground state energy of a dilute Fermi gas in the thermodynamic limit up to the third order in the expansion. This formula highlights a remarkable universality, showing that the correlation energy depends solely on the interactions scattering length. In a joint work with E. Giacomelli, P. T. Nam and Robert Seiringer we give a proof of this conjecture.
